  • Primary Responsibilities:




  • Provide overall leadership to the NextGen Ministry
  • Facilitate creativity by providing an ideas-oriented environment
  • Lead team at a realistic pace allowing for each other’s personal best
  • Function as primary leader for youth services
  • Shepherd the volunteer teams
  • Communicate with key people with clarity and in a timely manner
  • Deliver expectations of others in the creative process in a timely manner
  • Meet regularly with Sr. Pastor and others involved in leadership relevant to youth services and special events


  • Other Responsibilities:




  • Oversee the youth department by developing a small groups ministry approach
  • Recruit volunteers and build multiple teams with the capacity to fulfill the vision and dreams of ministry
  • Develop strategic plans for the department in alignment with the overall church mission, vision, values and strategies
  • Oversee creation and implementation of the NextGen budget
  • Be a pastor to the general church family


  • Reports to: Senior Pastor

    Compensation Package:




  • Total compensation negotiable based on experience and education
  • Entire package may be proportioned to accommodate the needs of person (salary, retirement, or health insurance)

    STRONG LEADERSHIP

    Cornerstone Church is seeking out a strong, visionary leader who has the ability to develop leaders, cast vision and develop strategies that will promote growth within the NextGen department.

    BUILDING FOR GROWTH

    A huge priority this year is the youth mininstry. There is a vision to raise up and disciple the next generation and develop young leaders. Even through Covid and the lack of a full time youth pastor, the youth group has grown to 35-40 students. The Church is positioned for breakthrough. There's a lot of momentum across the board. Attendance is growing. Outreach is strong. The best years are ahead.

    DISCIPLESHIP

    A huge priority in the youth ministry will be to create a culture of discipleship - a place where students grow in their faith but also discover their gifts and begin to serve. It will be important for the NextGen Pastor to foster this culture.

    SELF-LEADERSHIP

    This leader must be organized and have the ability to lead themselves and their department. It won't be micro-managed. They will be trusted to manage the NextGen budget, lead their area with excellence, and develop leaders.
