On the cutting edge of ministry being done as “one church in multiple locations,” Crossroads currently has seven campuses in the Northern Illinois-Southern Wisconsin area and they are passionate about working together in reaching and serving people who live in a rural context with the message of the Gospel.
Worship is a priority at Crossroads. They place a high value on excellence and the quality of the experience. Services are well-planned and streamlined to allow space for what's most important: people engaging with the presence and word of God together.
Crossroads Community Church believes God has called them to help bring transformation to rural communities for the cause of Christ. They are a Spirit-filled, non-denominational church and are progressive in their worship and methodology, while conservative in theology.
Currently Crossroads averages a combined total attendance of approximately 2,200 in these services. The Freeport Campus serves as the "broadcast campus" where the live teaching is captured every weekend to be distributed to Crossroads' other campuses. They currently have people from over 100 communities who regularly attend their seven campuses. The leadership and staff culture at Crossroads Community Church is marked by character, laughter, authenticity and a shared desire to transform the communities in which the church ministers.
As Worship Pastor, this role provides central leadership, direction, and support for all worship ministry teams at Crossroads Community Church, ensuring the implementation and proper stewarding of our worship philosophy, culture, and priorities, in support of the vision and mission of the church and the leadership of the Lead Pastor. Crossroads is looking for a life-bringing builder. The person who fills this role should be a galvanizing presence on the platform and behind the scenes. They should be a shepherd that loves to draw leadership out of others. They should know how to steward the presence of God with excellence and how to help people encounter Him in worship, as they lean into what He is doing in the moment.
The ideal candidate is a proven leader, not just a potential leader, with the demonstrated ability and passion to recruit, develop, and multiply ministry and teams. They should confidently lead with wisdom and self-awareness. The ability to navigate change in a patient, honoring but assertive way will be key.
