Crossway Church is located in Pacoima, CA, a community situated in the foothills of the San Fernando Valley. Pacoima, about 20 miles north of Downtown Los Angeles, was part of the Valley’s farmlands worked by Japanese farming families through whom our church was established in 1921.
Crossway’s demographic makeup is largely Asian American, with Japanese being the majority within that group. The addition of non-Asian families, along with the international marriages between Asians and non-Asians, have resulted in an increasing multi-ethnic church culture. This, along with their longstanding multi-generational heritage, has created a rich, diverse fellowship amongst them. With the property and buildings that they own, the diversity of the congregation (multi-ethnic and multi-generational), and the fresh vision of a Senior Pastor that will lead them, Crossway is ready to reach the next generation and their community for many years to come.
The Senior Pastor of Crossway Church is gifted and called to teach the Word of God, and is responsible for shepherding the members of Crossway Church, setting a vision for the church, providing leadership in all areas of church life, and being an example for what it means to live out the gospel on a daily basis. Crossway Church is looking for a Senior Pastor who is a visionary and who can inspire others to work in partnership with the Lord to make it a reality.
A BS/BA degree in Biblical Studies or Master of Divinity from an accredited evangelical seminary is required and at least 5 years of church leadership and preaching/teaching experience.
