Job description

This is a pivotal and exciting time to partner with Eastern Hills Community Church! The Worship Pastor will join a solid team that includes Creative Arts Pastor (their supervisor), Technical Director and contracted Music Director. Eastern Hills is primed for a fresh wind of pastoring from the stage and spiritual/musical development within the worship ministry.

Currently the band is made up of a mix of contracted and volunteer musicians on the bass, drums, electric and keys. There is a high caliber of musicianship, and while the vocal team is at a healthy size, there is great opportunity to grow the size of the volunteer band musicians. With an A+ sound system and technical capability, the next right Worship Pastor will have the opportunity to build and shape a worship culture that attracts musicians who call Eastern Hills their home. This leader will mine the gold out of each player, call them up in leadership and skill, and call them into the worship community.

  • Demonstrates a pastoral heart, preferably with some training in pastoral areas.
  • Strong ability to lead others in worship vocally and instrumentally.
  • Skilled in the use of technology such as Planning Center, ProPresenter, and the fundamentals of Ableton.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in music and worship.
