GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Overview:

The Production Director at Elevate Church will be a visionary, hard-working, leader of leaders who is experienced in coaching teams and building a strong, dynamic environment for worship experiences. The Production Director is primarily responsible for overseeing all production/technical aspects of the worship experiences for our in-person and online church community. This role will also provide production and technical leadership to pursue excellence for all events requiring production teams.

Experience & Skills & Abilities


  • 4 years full-time production experience in a large church setting using live video and live broadcast set ups
  • a leader who is able to cultivate and reproduce other production teaam members
  • Able to come alongside the vision and current culture at EC, and execute that culture effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills that exude a positive attitude
  • Ability to self-motivate and make independent decisions
  • An exceedingly strong ability to effectively coach, equip, and lead production teams
  • Professional in all audio, lighting, and video applications (and able to train in all applications)
  • Professional in all hardware components of audio, video, and lighting equipment and fixtures
  • A Planning Center & Pro-presenter boss
  • Effective at multitasking, time management, and following up
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Strong spiritual maturity and teachable spirit
  • Maintain composure during stressful situations
  • Commitment to hard work - possessing both teachable and coachable leadership traits
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with both staff and volunteers

    • Education

    A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred, or other type of production school training

    Goals and Expectations

    To be effective in this role, you will:


  • Grow your team numerically - Create a system to recruit, train, and coach production teams (Discover, Develop, Deploy)
  • Grow your team spiritually - Be a pastor to your teams
  • Own the church vision, mission, and strategy - Support the vision of the church and integrate it through production ministry
  • Plan ahead - Develop a calendar for weekend and event worship planning
  • Create passionate, encouraging, & engaging worship environmenst through sight & sound

    Compensation Package:


  • Total compensation negotiable based on experience and education
  • Entire package may be proportioned to accommodate the needs of person (salary, retirement, or health insurance)

    CHALLENGE & OPPORTUNITY

    VISIONARY LEADERSHIP

    Elevate Church is seeking out a strong, visionary leader who has the ability to develop leaders, cast vision and develop strategies that will promote growth within the Production Department.

    This leader needs to have an eye for excellence and be a pro at managing the weekend programming from a technical perspective. Success over time will not only be to double the current roster of production volunteers but to be able to cast vision and lead the team to be ready for ministry on Sunday. It's important to care for the team and not just see them as a position in Planning Center.

    TRAINING + DEVELOPMENT

    Leadership at Elevate is less about what you can do and more about how you raise others up. It's not enough just to manage the equipment and run all the tech. This role will be about developing volunteers, leaders and fulfilling the vision of connecting people to God.

    The production team at Elevate is currently made up of 20+ volunteers and who serve on the worship team. The volunteers are passionate, skilled, and have a heart to lead people in worship.

    Loving people, pastoring people, leading people to operate in their gifting is essential. Doing ministry isn't enough. Empowering others to find their God-given potential is what it's all about. That's why this role is Pastoral - tight execution and productivity is valued, but Elevate needs a spiritual leader that embodies the vision and pastors the production team.

    MANAGE THE GEAR

    The Production Director needs to have a well-rounded expertise in all things AVL and current best practices for churches. They will need to manage and be able to install the equipment on campus with excellence and recommend upgrades to gear and technology as time goes on.

    This leader will also have a part time production director to work alongside them. They need to be an expert with all the technology and be the go-to person for how things work.
