GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Overview:
The Worship Pastor at EC will be a visionary, hard-working, leader of leaders who is experienced in coaching teams and building a strong, dynamic worship ministry. The Worship Pastor is primarily responsible for leading and building the worship experience for our in-person and online church community. This role will also provide musical and technical leadership to pursue excellence for worship experiences. This role will contribute to the planning, organizing, and leading of any worship experiences throughout the week and the development of next gen worship teams.

CHALLENGE & OPPORTUNITY
VISIONARY LEADERSHIP
Elevate Church is seeking out a strong, visionary leader who has the ability to develop leaders, cast vision and develop strategies that will promote growth within the Worship Department.
The team already utilizes Planning Center, ProPresenter, and Ableton for clicks/tracks. This leader will need to step into the worship culture at Elevate and execute the vision at a high level. The Worship Pastor also needs to keep pace with what is happening in worship globally and help lead the ministry forward into best practices.
DISCIPLE + DEVELOP
Discipleship is a key role of this new leader. It's not enough to lead worship and be a musician. This role will be about developing leaders and fulfilling the vision of connecting people to God.
The team at Elevate is currently made up of 30+ volunteers and staff who serve on the worship team. The volunteers are passionate, skilled, and have a heart to lead people in worship.
Loving people, pastoring people, leading people to operate in their gifting is essential. Doing ministry isn't enough. Empowering others to find their God-given potential is what it's all about. That's why this role is Pastoral - tight execution and productivity is valued, but Elevate needs a spiritual leader that embodies the vision and pastors their team.
SELF-LEADERSHIP
This leader must be organized and have the ability to lead themselves and their department. While this role is collaborative, It won't be micro-managed. They will be trusted to make equipment recommendations & proposals, manage the weekend experience, and lead their team with excellence.
Elevate has a staff culture of trust and empowerment. It will be imperative for this person to be a self starter who gets things done and is not “above” working in areas and projects outside of their job description.
