Family and Students Pastor:
The Family/Student Ministries Pastor is responsible for overseeing the student ministry as well as the Family Ministries Leaders (Pre-school, Children, Middle School, High School, College) at PaulAnn, to help in the spiritual development of the children and students, and to recruit, and develop a team of adult volunteers and staff. The Family and Students Pastor is also responsible for the growth and development of the Church and also works with the Lead Team to ensure that PaulAnn maintains consistency in DNA.
Job Duties & Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Discipleship and Ministry:
Develop a comprehensive strategy of teaching, training and discipleship of children, youth and young adults.
Regularly cast the vision for Family Ministry to all Church attendees.
Partner with the Lead Pastor in various needs and areas:
Research and develop areas assigned by the Lead Pastor.
Consulting on any relevant personnel, systems, procedures and vision.
Plans, researches, prepares and delivers messages.
Create and build small groups for students and young and train up volunteer adults to lead these groups as well as oversee this process in the Family ministries.
Team build through the recruiting, developing, maintaining, and growing of volunteer adult leaders.
Raise up student leaders among the student ministries.
Plan a small group curriculum to be implemented in the appropriate small group environment.
Invest in students by attending their extracurricular events, including sporting events.
Work with Family Ministry Leaders to develop on-campus (school) ministries that reach students
who do not know Jesus.
Develop a thriving outreach ministry that would include planning monthly events and creating an
active campus ministry to maintain a presence at all targeted schools.
Be a part of the planning and development of and attend the big Family Ministry events of the year: Summer Camp, Winter Camp, Retreats, Family Fun Night, and Summer Missions Trip.
Brainstorm and create media for Family Ministries, as needed, including videos, graphics, etc.
Communicate the vision, goals and activities of Student Ministries to the parents of student
participants through informational meetings, mailings and electronic communications
Oversee correspondence to students, parents, and vendors via email and phone calls.
Oversee the updating of the church database with children, youth, and young adult information.
Work within the given budget and maintain proper documentation as needed. Ministry Oversight:
Meet regularly with Department Leads to Coach, Evaluate and Set Goals.

Give regular Job Evaluations (Quarterly)
Various other administrative tasks as related to Family Ministry operations.
Other related duties as assigned (eg. Preaching).
Education and/or Experience (must have one or more of the following)
Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) preferred
Minimum 5 years related experience and/or training preferred
Equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge and Skills
Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
Ability to write reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of volunteers, church members or staff members of the
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Must have knowledge of the internet, spreadsheet, budgeting and word processing software.

Current Driver’s License
