Radiant Church - Kids Pastor

Job description

Radiant is an Assemblies of God church where it is all about Changed Lives. They are poised for a new season of momentum and growth. They have three campuses: the main campus in Surprise, AZ; and campuses in Sun City, and Deer Valley, AZ; as well as their online campus. They are known in their community for being a place where God is changing lives through his power and presence.

Church Description

The Church started in Kingswood Elementary and then moved to Paradise Education Center, which is across the street from the current Surprise location. They then moved into a building of their own. In 2018, Radiant became one church in two locations, adding the Deer valley campus. In 2019, they became one church in three locations with the addition of the Sun City campus. Today over 3,000 people call Radiant home at one of their campuses. Radiant has locations in Surprise, Deer Valley, and Sun City and are looking to add a 4th location very soon.

The church launched their REACH program in 2012 and has been serving the community and the world heavily ever since. The outreach focus of the church is evident throughout the ministries and even surrounding area. So much is done outside the walls since the launch of this ministry in 2012 and Jesus is being made known through the continued outpouring of service and love.

Today the church is growing and experiencing God’s power like never before. They are experiencing unity and favor and seeing miracles and salvations daily. The church continues to chase after God and Radiant can’t wait to see what is next.

Position Description

Radiant Church is searching for an experienced, excited, visionary leader who can lead, inspire, and grow both the kids, parents, servanteers, and leaders of Radiant Kids.

Radiant believes all people should own and share their faith no matter how old they are. They believe families need to be empowered to pastor their homes and grow in their relationship with Jesus. They are an Acts 242 church that believes strongly in rightly dividing the word, worshiping, praying, walking in communion with Jesus, serving those around us and living together in community. We believe even the youngest of us should grow up learning these principles so they can go out and change lives for Jesus.

SPECIAL NEEDS

Radiant Church is proud to offer Leaps and Bounds Ministry for little ones with special needs! Children up to age 10 years old will enjoy exciting toys, videos, and games. Radiant Kids has adapted a specialized curriculum and have trained staff with experience working with special needs children. This room, located in our preschool building, is open during the second service on Sundays.

CURRICULUM

Radiant church has experience with a few different curricula, Original and Orange being the most recent. The new leader will have the opportunity to work with Pastor Jill and the Kids Ministry team to pick out their preferred curriculum.

CHECK IN/CHECK OUT

During check in, a Radiant Kids team member will host a computer to check in kids. A team member will rip the tag and a parent will place it on their child. First time families will be checked-in with the normal paper process while a Radiant Kids team member will fill out the Guest Experience card and tag. Radiant uses RockRMS for their database and check in process. Additionally, Guest Experience bags will be set out so parents can take it themselves. For check out, lines will be formed for one-way exit to avoid congestion.

KIDS BAPTISM

Radiant believes that every child can have a personal relationship with Jesus, and at Radiant Kids, they encourage them to make that life changing decision to follow Him! Radiant encourages parents to wait until their child is asking to be water baptized. They believe that this is usually a good indication that they are ready to be baptized and that it will be a life changing moment they will never forget. Before baptism, Radiant Kids staff hosts a class for both kids and parents to go over what baptism means and answer any questions.
