Scottsdale Bible Church is a fantastic and long-standing non-denominational church in the Phoenix area with over 7,500 in attendance across three campuses. God has faithfully blessed SBC and they are preparing to launch their fourth campus in the beautiful suburb of Fountain Hills. This campus will be a merger with a former SBC plant, North Chapel Bible Church. The leadership of both churches is unanimously onboard and excited for what God is doing through this partnership. This position will be the Kids Pastor for the new Fountain Hills campus, so you will have the opportunity to build your ministry from the ground up while still having tremendous support, training, and resources from the SBC Central Team.
Scottsdale Bible has a deep commitment to engaging Bible teaching, and the staff culture reflects that value in terms of education and passion for the Word of God. At the same time, their heart for the lost and desire to be a welcoming environment to all is truly felt in every interaction on campus. SBC has a terrific combination of traditional values with a modern and engaging approach to ministry.
The Kids Pastor at SBC will have the opportunity to join a growing and thriving NextGen department, as well as the chance to build a kids ministry from the ground up on a brand new campus. Building teams will be a huge priority, while having the support from a thriving Central Team will be a huge blessing to the Fountain Hills Kids Pastor.
Three separate ministries fall under the Discovery Kids umbrella for the Fountain Hills Campus: Nursery (birth-2), Preschool/Kindergarten, and Elementary (1-4 grade). While we have a consistent model and strategy for kids ministry across all campuses, we do maintain a great deal of flexibility for each campus to execute their ministry in an effective way for that particular community. This position reports to the Central NextGen Lead, and will receive incredible support, coaching, and development as you build your ministry.
