The Crossing is a healthy, non-denominational, multi-site church in the St. Louis area led by solid, long term senior leadership that is strategic, collaborative and intentional. With a focus on helping people experience the message of the Gospel in life changing ways, The Crossing baptizes hundreds of people every year. The Crossing is truth in advertising.
The Chesterfield Campus Kids’ Pastor will join a church culture where staff health is a big deal and will have the opportunity to work with the central kids team to cast vision, build teams and shepherd families locally. The Crossing is an amazing place for a leader to help kids and families explore God’s Word, experience God’s grace and express God’s love.
The Crossing began with a handful of folks in a living room with a common vision; to create a church where people’s lives are radically changed through Jesus Christ in radical ways. The Crossing has become more than just a “place”. It’s a community that’s fresh, real, raw, alive and committed to telling an ancient story to break through even the most hardened of hearts. The Crossing is known as a healthy place where people can get their questions answered. From the very beginning vision and generosity have been a continuous thread of this church. Under the leadership of the current lead pastor, Greg Holder, the church has seen steady growth for the last 2 decades resulting in 4 campuses in the St. Louis area that reaches thousands of people. The Crossing is healthy, vibrant and ready to move into the next decade of ministry.
Greg Holder is the lead pastor of The Crossing. His passion is bringing the ancient truth of scripture to light in fresh ways, calling all to consider what it means to follow Jesus in today’s world. He is a co-creator of the Advent Conspiracy and co-author of a book by the same name
The main function of the Chesterfield Campus Kids’ Pastor is to provide pastoral care and shepherding to the kids staff, families and volunteers. Cast vision and provide leadership development to the volunteer and staff teams, as well as work with the central team to ensure the execution of the overall ministry strategy.
The Kids’ Pastor must be humble, yet self-driven, exhibiting the spiritual gifts of leadership, discernment and administration. Someone with a clear calling to children and families, with vision and enthusiasm to lead the ministry into the next chapter, will have a tremendous opportunity to create a new culture and breathe new life into the children’s ministry as the Kids’ Pastor at The Crossing’s original and largest campus.
The Chesterfield Kids’ Pastor, while leading two paid staff members, will also have the opportunity to work hands on with a team of volunteers and provide leadership and direction for the entirety of weekend ministry experience, evaluating and coaching to ensure that every environment is faithfully carrying out the ministry vision with excellence.
