OVERVIEW

The Crossing believes in creating an atmosphere for those who want to join their talents with their passion for growing the local church. This is a place where people work closely together to advance one common vision in uncommon ways.

The Macomb Hub Technical Director will assume the ownership, oversight, and responsibility over all audio and visual production for The Crossings services and special events in that Macomb Hub. The Crossing is in need of a LEADER that is driven, self assured, and hard working.

The Macomb hub consists of three campuses: Macomb, Monmouth, and Mt Sterling.


THIS PERSON WILL



  • LEAD | The production Volunteer Teams at the campuses in the Macomb Hub— which includes all processes pertaining to volunteer onboarding, training, scheduling, communication, and off boarding — while creating systems that best steward the emotional well-being and time-commitment of the volunteers
  • Direct | The Producton Volunteer Team on the setup, execution, and breakdown of all things related to A/V production for services and other ministries events.
  • Maintain |Current standards of operation, improve systems and execution of production, and pioneer new ways for the production team to create meaningful ways for the congregation to experience Jesus through production.
  • Steward | The Crossing's resources and equipment including the maintenance, inventory, and upkeep of existing equipment, upgrading and purchasing new equipment under the direction of the Multisite Technical Director.

  • Love for Jesus and His Church
  • Agreement with the doctrine, theology, and philosophy of The Crossing as evidenced by lifestyle
  • Experience Leading in the production/technical side in a church setting
  • Ability to operate audio, lighting, projection, and video equipment — as well as experience in multisite simulcasting
  • Experience in teaching others to develop tech skills
  • Experience or willingness to learn production/technical skills that are not yet acquired
  • Organized, reliable, and demonstrating great work ethic and integrity
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks, be flexible, and work with little supervision
  • Experience

  • RESI Video Systems
  • Yamaha & Midas Systems
  • Digital Audio Networks (Dante)
  • Familiar with Waves plugins for Live environments.
  • Hog Lighting Consoles
  • Lighting Networks (ETCNet, Path-port, Artnet, DMX)
  • Blackmagic Design, Ross Video Systems.
  • PVP, ProPresenter
  • EMPLOYMENT STATUS / SCHEDULE











  • Monday will be spent in meetings & reviews of the previous weekend.
  • Tuesday-Thursday is spent traveling to locations within the hub, building teams, investing in people, and supporting the ministries at each location within the Macomb hub.
  • Work with Campus & Worship pastor hub to work with campus teams on specific needs throughout the week
  • Prepare for weekend services including prepping content, confirming volunteers are scheduled etc..
  • Communicate with Multisite Technical Director about any pressing needs for the weekend.
  • COMPENSATION

    Salary offering will be discussed in the first phone call and is based on experience and ability of the candidate.

    Regularly Collaborates with: Macomb Hub Worship Pastor, and Campus Pastor

    SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


    Services & Event Production



  • Oversee & lead the production teams at the 4 campuses in the Macomb hub.
  • Direct oversight of all components of production at Weekly Services and special events — including audio, video, lighting, stage design, projection, and the backstage coordination aspects of our events.




  • Team Development



  • Oversee onboarding (and off-boarding, when needed) of volunteers, in collaboration with Campus & Worship pastor hub team.
  • Train new and existing volunteers on proper protocol and best practices for weekend services
  • Communicating needs and requests to volunteer team along with reporting back volunteer experience to staff
  • Develop and oversee communication to A/V team
  • Help plan and run events for worship/tech teams
  • Develop Teams to oversee all tech during services at The Crossing.
